This case study compares the packaging weight and associated Global Warming Potential (GWP) of Aptar Pharma’s Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser (OSD), a multi-dose preservative-free eye dropper, with the widely used delivery format of Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) single use vials. By reducing the amount of primary packaging material used and minimizing medication waste the OSD multi-dose preservative-free eyedropper delivers a more sustainable pharmaceutical solution for eyecare, with a lower GWP.
